Friday’s podcast filled with mixed emotions

IOWA CITY, Iowa – This podcast is filled with mixed emotions in the wake of the terrible news out of Waterloo where long-time sports reporter Jim Sullivan died suddenly at work Thursday night.

We also talk about the University of Iowa professor who made news this week by saying that Herky the Hawk shouldn’t always have a mean expression.

We drift near the end of the podcast, leading to more discussion about the 1960s musical group The Cowsills, who are becoming regulars on the podcast.
