IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Iowa football program will be well represented in the 2018 Senior Bowl.
Former Iowa running back Akrum Wadley and former offensive lineman Sean Welsh both have accepted invitations to play in the Senior Bowl, which will be held on Jan. 27 in Mobile, Ala.
Wadley is one just players to rush for at least 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons under current head coach Kirk Ferentz, who just finished his 19th season.
Welsh started for three seasons, mostly at guard, and twice earned All-Big Ten recognition.
The Senior Bowl features some of the best college seniors nationally. The game provides a chance for them to impress NFL scouts heading into the 2018 NFL Draft.
