IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Iowa football team has received a verbal commitment from who many believe is the top instate recruit in the 2020 senior class.
Running back Gavin Williams posted his commitment to Iowa on his Snapchat Friday night.
Williams picked Iowa over scholarship offers from Michigan and Nebraska, as well as interest from Notre Dame. The four-star recruit transferred to Dowling Catholic over the winter break after playing his first three seasons at Southeast Polk.
Williams is the fourth player to commit to Iowa's 2020 recruiting class, and the second four-star recruit to join the class, according to rankings by 247Sports. The other is Texas quarterback Deuce Hogan.
