IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Iowa men's basketball team has found itself in prime position to land one of the most highly-decorated in-state basketball prospects in recent memory.
Four-star center Xavier Foster announced his final five schools on Saturday via Instagram that includes Iowa, Iowa State, Virginia Tech, Providence and Baylor.
Foster, a native of Oskaloosa, Iowa, also has scholarship offers from Creighton, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Rutgers, Southern California, Texas A&M and UCLA.
The 7-foot, 225-pound Foster is ranked the No. 40 overall prospect and the seventh overall center in the 2020 class.
Foster did not indicate that he has set a timetable for when he's like to make his final decision.
Iowa does not currently have any players committed to its 2020 recruiting class.
