IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa football team has made a good case for itself as “Tight End U” recently with the first-round selections of T.J. Hockenson and Noah Fant in the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Hawkeyes now look to add to that tradition with a big recruiting event over the weekend, featuring, among others, 2020 three-star tight end Luke Lachey.

Lachey, a native of Grandview Heights, Ohio, will be visiting with several committed and uncommitted prospects from the 2020 class this weekend, including three-star tight end commit Elijah Yelverton.

The 6-foot-7, 220-pound Lachey will be taking his first visit to Iowa since receiving a scholarship offer early in May.

Lachey recently visited Michigan State and also has Power Five offers from Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisiana State, Louisville, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
