IOWA CITY, Iowa - Kirk Ferentz kicked off his 21st media day on Friday.
The Iowa head football coach spoke to reporters for about 20 minutes on topics ranging from Oliver Martin's transfer status to which of his players need to step up to fill the shoes left by former tight ends T.J. Hockenson and Noah Fant.
Iowa is coming off of a 9-4 season that was capped by a 27-22 Outback Bowl victory over No. 18 Mississippi State.
The Hawkeyes begin their season on August 31 against Miami of Ohio at 6:30 p.m.
