IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Iowa media got the opportunity to speak with several Iowa players for the first time during media day on Friday.

Three of those players, defensive backs Julius Brents and D.J. Johnson and receiver Tyrone Tracy, all hail from the Indianapolis area.

All three were a part of Iowa's 2018 recruiting class.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Tracy said that having other guys from Indianapolis on the team helped him adjust to life in college.

"It's a very big deal for me personally just because I'm from Indiana so I like to have a part of Indiana here, and it's nice," Tracy said.

While Tracy and Johnson both played sparingly before redshirting last season, Brents appeared in 11 games, totaling 13 tackles, three pass breakups and an interception.

Freshman offensive lineman Justin Britt is another Indianapolis native on the Iowa roster.
